Craig Dixon

Director of Architecture & Partner

A Georgia native and Auburn University graduate, Craig Dixon has been alongside Ken since the beginning. In 2012, he was named a partner to establish Pursley Dixon Architecture. As co-founder and Director of Architecture at The Pursley Dixon Studio, Craig brings a refined design sensibility and a steady hand, guiding projects from concept to completion while serving as a trusted mentor to the Studio’s next generation of talent. Craig is most passionate about envisioning spaces that elevate both emotion and spirit, creating architecture that resonates on a deeper level. His contributions to the Studio’s creativity stem from years of exposure to extraordinary architecture through travel and immersion in the firm’s own work, which allows him to impart both design wisdom and relational insight to the team.

An engaged member of the design community, Craig is active in the Leaders of Design Council and previously the Design Leadership Network. Beyond the Studio, he finds balance in traveling, enjoying shamefully indulgent films, and spending time with his wife, Blair, their four children, and a wide circle of friends and family.

Bronwyn Ford

Director of Interiors & Partner

After graduating from NC State University’s College of Textiles, Bronwyn began her career as a consultant and project manager for Fortune 500 companies. A drawing class at Queens University of Charlotte sparked a decision to follow her passion for design, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design. In 2013, Bronwyn joined The Pursley Dixon Studio, where she guided the expansion of the decorative interiors services before being named partner and Lead Interior Designer. As Director of Interiors, Bronwyn approaches each project as a unique design challenge – blending materials, art, and objects to create environments that harmonize seamlessly with architecture. Through close collaboration with clients, her team, and master artisans, she delivers spaces that are distinctive, layered, and deeply personal. After years as a passion project, she is proud to launch ITO, a retail concept under The Pursley Dixon Studio that unites the rare and the resonant.

Bronwyn is an active member of the Design Leadership Network and serves on the executive board of the North Carolina Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture. In 2023, she was recognized as ADAC Southeast Designer of the Year. Beyond interior design and ITO, she enjoys exploring cities both big and small, and cherishes sharing meals and laughter with family and friends—all while proudly calling Charlotte her home.

Day Palmer

Chief Operating Officer & Partner

A Charlotte native, Day Palmer has been an integral part of The Pursley Dixon Studio since 2013, bringing expert oversight to business operations while also leading the Studio’s marketing initiatives. As a partner, she combines strategic vision with an unwavering commitment to excellence, ensuring the creative team is fully supported and the client experience remains exceptional at every step of the process. Day is passionate about the design industry, and she is grateful to serve it through the lens of business administration, ensuring the creative vision thrives with steady support. 

Dedicated to service both within and beyond the Studio, Day is a former board member of The Learning Collaborative, The Kyle Fleischmann Foundation, and the Junior League of Charlotte. She also volunteers with several local charities. She loves traveling, experimenting in the kitchen—where every recipe comes with a dash of creativity and the occasional takeout—and spending time with her husband, George, while chasing their two young sons.

Sarah Armfield

Business Manager

As Business Manager for The Pursley Dixon Studio, Sarah ensures the studio’s day-to-day operations run seamlessly. With more than a decade of experience managing business operations, including eight years at the headquarters of Paperless Post in New York City, she brings a depth of organizational knowledge and expertise to the Studio. Sarah is driven by a passion for harnessing data to inform decision-making and foster sustainable growth. Her strength lies in creating stability and efficiency behind the scenes, ensuring the Studio’s creative energy can thrive. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Sarah balances her professional life with time spent with her family and making her way through an ever-growing reading list.

Scott Hambrick

Senior Project Architect

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Scott’s time in residential construction sparked a new direction, bringing him back to Virginia Tech to pursue a Master of Architecture. Since joining The Pursley Dixon Studio in 2016, he has become a licensed architect and now leads projects as a Senior Project Architect. In his work, Scott is passionate about the details—both in design and documentation—believing they are what set each project apart. He contributes to the studio’s creativity by keeping an open mind, listening to colleagues’ perspectives, and embracing new ideas to ensure designs remain unique and fresh. Outside the Studio, Scott enjoys time with his wife, coaching his sons’ sports teams, playing golf, and getting his hands dirty with home improvement projects.

Alex Ancona

Senior Project Architect

Alex’s love of historic homes and architecture began in childhood during visits to landmarks across New England. That early fascination inspired him to study architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture in 2017. He joined The Pursley Dixon Studio in 2018, and soon after was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Kyle D. Taylor Memorial Scholarship from the Southeast Chapter of the ICAA. Now a licensed architect and board member of the North Carolina Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Alex draws on his New England roots with a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. He is passionate about shaping spaces that are both functional and emotionally resonant, collaborating closely with builders, engineers, and artisans to refine details that balance technical performance with timeless beauty. Outside the studio, Alex enjoys hunting for antiques to furnish his historic log cabin, tending his garden, and leading the music ministry at his church.

Julie Reo

Junior Project Architect

Originally from Pennsylvania, Julie brings more than a decade of design experience and a unique perspective shaped by her degrees in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Interior Design from Queens University. As a member of The Pursley Dixon Studio, she assists on architectural projects with a focus on both design and execution. Julie is passionate about the collaborative process—working closely with firm leaders during design development and with contractors onsite during the building process, always ready to solve challenges as they arise. Outside the Studio, Julie loves to travel, hike, and spend time with her pets.

West Pierce

Junior Project Architect

West earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University, where he also gained hands-on experience working alongside a mid-century modern furniture maker. After graduation, he began his career in Seattle with Perkins & Will before relocating to Charlotte with his wife and four children. At The Pursley Dixon Studio, West assists on architectural projects by supporting the development of clear, thoughtful technical documentation that strengthens the design and building process. He is passionate about storytelling through design and documentation, using both to bring clients’ visions to life. Outside the Studio, West enjoys exploring local parks and attending theater performances with his family.

Savannah Stone

Intermediate Interior Designer

Savannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from High Point University, where she gained early experience working in showrooms at the High Point Furniture Market and developed a strong knowledge of interior products. At The Pursley Dixon Studio, she works with both the architecture and interiors teams on specification and custom furniture design, bringing a discerning eye for craftsmanship and problem-solving. She is most passionate about seeing a project through its full journey, from the first concept sketches to the final installation, and finds fulfillment in the transformation that unfolds along the way. Savannah especially values the support and compassion of her multi-skilled team members, whose collaboration enriches every project and elevates the design process. Outside the Studio, Savannah enjoys traveling, attending Charlotte FC matches, and discovering a great IPA.

Katherine Miller

Intermediate Interior Designer

With a lifelong passion for design inspired by her architect uncle and artist aunt, Katherine joined The Pursley Dixon Studio after several years working with interior design clients in Columbia, South Carolina. Her interior design education at Appalachian State University, and notably her time spent studying abroad in Europe, influenced a love for blending history with modern living. At the Studio, Katherine collaborates with both the architecture and the decorative interiors teams on finish selections, drawings, and specifications, using her experience in design and project management to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. She’s energized by discovering unique products and fresh ideas that spark inspiration. Outside of work, she enjoys summers at the lake and winters spent skiing in the mountains.

Hope Wietman

Senior Architectural Assistant

Hope earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, where a semester abroad in Rome sparked her passion for exploring diversity in the architectural landscape. She was later awarded a scholarship to attend the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Summer Studio in New York City. At The Pursley Dixon Studio, she supports project teams with construction documents and construction administration. Hope enjoys the balance between creativity and practicality, finding it rewarding when her work directly enhances how people experience a space. Motivated by continuous learning, she approaches each project as an opportunity to explore new challenges and apply fresh insights. By drawing from her creative pursuits outside of work, including pottery, beekeeping, and other artistic endeavors, she brings new perspectives and visual approaches that spark collaboration and enrich the design process.

Matt Heithoff

Junior Architectural Assistant

Matt joined The Pursley Dixon Studio after earning his Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in Preservation & Restoration from the University of Notre Dame. He supports project teams with presentations, construction documents, and construction administration, applying both technical precision and artistic sensibility to his work. Drawn to architecture as a practical application of his love for drawing and painting, Matt finds fulfillment in refining his technical artistic skills and in the tactile aspects of the craft. He shares with his colleagues a belief that there is no distinction between architect, draftsman, and craftsman—each plays a role in the artistry of how things are made, a philosophy evident in the Studio’s work. Outside the office and aside from his creative passions, Matt enjoys running and playing tennis.

Hannah Wahle

Junior Architectural Assistant

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Real Estate from the University of Notre Dame. During her studies, she was involved in documenting the restoration of Notre Dame de Paris. At The Pursley Dixon Studio, she supports project teams with presentations, construction documents, and construction administration. Hannah is passionate about creating presentations that bring the Studio’s design visions to life—helping clients envision their future homes and inspiring the entire team. On weekends, Hannah enjoys sharing meals with friends and family, reading by the pool, exploring new cities, and painting.

Sam Weisler

Junior Architectural Assistant

Sam Weisler joined The Pursley Dixon Studio as an Architectural Assistant after earning his Bachelor’s of Architecture from Utah Valley University. He assists Ken with transforming ideas into designs, from preparation to presentation. Sam’s love for architecture is rooted in the opportunity to collaborate with amazing people to create beautiful spaces. His passion for storytelling extends beyond the Studio into reading and writing, including a completed historical fiction novel. Always the creative, Sam can be found designing anything from cool stickers to walkable neighborhoods. He also enjoys exploring new places and natural landscapes with his wife and best friend, Estie.

Amber Hootman

Interiors Operations Manager

After ten years in Washington, D.C., Amber and her family relocated to Charlotte, where she joined The Pursley Dixon Studio in 2021. Amber oversees the procurement process from order to installation, ensuring the project teams stay organized and on schedule. Amber is passionate about the impact interior design has on daily life, finding fulfillment in knowing that her work contributes to the beauty of the homes that the Studio creates. By bringing structure, efficiency, and meticulous organization to each project, she empowers the design team to focus on what they do best—creating inspired spaces. Outside the Studio, Amber enjoys traveling, crafting, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their two children.

Meghan Squier

Marketing and Sales Assistant

As Marketing and Sales Assistant, Meghan provides steady support to the team while also bringing collaboration, insight, and a fresh perspective that helps keep creative momentum strong. With a natural strength for seeing challenges as opportunities, she contributes to both the behind-the-scenes organization and the outward storytelling that connects the Studio’s work with clients and collaborators. A proud Muscogee Native American, she enjoys exploring her heritage and is an avid consumer of stories in all forms—books, films, and podcasts. She is currently pursuing a second degree in Interior Design from Yorkville University, a pursuit that deepens her understanding of the design process and further enriches her contributions to the Studio.

Elinor Easton

Office Coordinator and Executive Assistant

A North Carolina native and NC State graduate, Elinor brings energy, organization, and a creative spirit to her role as Office Coordinator at The Pursley Dixon Studio. With a background in business and an early career in banking, she quickly found her true passion in the design world. Elinor finds fulfillment in discovering what helps each person thrive and in supporting the unique synergy of the team. She believes creativity shines not only in design, but also in how problems are solved, challenges are met, and systems are kept running smoothly. Her thoughtful, intentional approach ensures that every detail contributes to a collaborative and inspiring environment. Outside the office, she loves cooking, snowboarding with her family, and adventuring off the beaten path.
